1. What types of equipment does voind support?

There are two types of equipment on the voind network:
  • Synthesizers - accept MIDI as input and produce Audio
  • Processors - accept Audio as input and produce Audio


2. How can I use voind to create samples using my own equipment?

You will need a computer with internet connection and an audio interface to which you can connect your equipment
  1. Register with voind
  2. Download the client software, install it on your computer and configure it
  3. Upload the (audo or midi) input files, select the presets and let the voind system prepare the audio samples
  4. Download the audio output files and enjoy
Where's the catch? If your equipment is new to voind we will ask your permission to also build some samples for the voind library.


3. How do I use voind to show my sound design skills to others?

You will need a computer with internet connection and an audio interface to which you can connect your equipment
  1. Register with voind
  2. Download the client software, install it on your computer and configure it
  3. Upload the (audo or midi) input files, select your original presets and let the voind system prepare the audio samples
  4. Share your samples with other voind users and visitors.
Where's the catch? If your equipment is new to voind we will ask your permission to also build some samples for the voind library. Hopefuly your original samples will show new and interesting capabilities in addition to normal factory presets.


4. How can I evaluate equipment and test it with my own audio material?

Browse the library right away for the available equipment and listen to the corresponding samples. If you want to test the equipment with your own (audio or midi) material and there is someone currently sharing it:
  1. Register with voind
  2. Upload your (audio or midi) input files, select the equipment and presets and let the voind system prepare the audio samples
  3. Download the audio output files and enjoy
Where's the catch? We hope that your interest in evaluating equipment will drive other users to share it trough voind. If their motivation is selling it to you and they have a voind subscription, you will have the option to contact them directly.


5. How can I share my equipment with other users?

You will need a computer with internet connection and an audio interface to which you can connect your equipment
  1. Register with voind
  2. Download the client software, install it on your computer and configure it
  3. Decide who you want to share your equipment with and enjoy
Where's the catch? If your equipment is new to voind we will ask your permission to also build some samples for the voind library. Aditionally when you share your equipment through voind you will be helping the site to become more useful and atractive to its audience.


6. How do I install and configure voindpu (the client software)?

  1. You will need a computer with internet connection and an audio interface to which you can connect your equipment check the requisites
  2. Tell voind about the equipment you are going to connect
  3. Download the latest version of the voindpu client and the configuration file for your equipment
  4. Install the voindpu client on your computer
  5. Tell the voindpu client how your equipment is conected to the audio interface
  6. Perform a basic test
